Figures from Yorkshire’s largest house builder have revealed a growing affluence within the region’s housing market. David Wilson Homes has announced a 332pc growth in sales across its Yorkshire East division over the past five years – highlighting the strength of the local economy as buyers increasingly move towards luxury homes in desirable locations.
Current David Wilson Homes properties available in the region include the iconic Derwenthorpe and The Chocolate Works developments in York, in addition to Castlegate in Northallerton, Elm Tree Park in Beverley and Abbey Park in Ampleforth.
With the housing market the driving force behind the UK’s economic resurgence, these statistics highlight a growing affluence within the region – with a notable shift to larger and more desirable homes being purchased. In little over five years, David Wilson Homes Yorkshire East has planned, built and sold over 1148 homes in the region, with a staggering 332pc sales increase from June 2010 to June 2015.
