POLICE are again reminding people of the dangers of leaving their homes insecure, following reports of another insecure burglary in the Willerby area.

Police were called following a burglary on Wentworth Close, Willerby which happened between 1810hrs and 2235hrs on Sunday 13 November 2011.

Thieves entered the property through an insecure window, whilst the occupants were in another room, and stole a gentleman’s Ingersoll 9ct gold diamond watch.

Between 1830hrs and 2230hrs on Tuesday 15 November, a property on Southgate Close, Willerby was entered via an insecure window and a black coloured jewellery box was stolen, which contained a significant amount of jewellery including:

An 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring, an 18ct ring with four rubies and three diamonds, a ladies Citizen silver watch with a mother of pearl face, a gold leaf brooch and a bumble bee broochwith a blue coloured body.

Also, between 1900hrs and 2310hrs on Tuesday 15 November an attempt burglary took place on Southgate Close as an offender attempted to gain entry to a property through an inscure window, but was unsuccessful.
